I've been buying these strings for many years and I'm very happy with them. My dog can run around the garden (and is smart enough not to get tangled up most of the time) and the cord is thin enough that we could run the other end inside and close the doors over it. Yes, I bought some cables; I abuse them and don't expect them to last forever. I abuse them on both sides. First, my dog is 70 pounds and this cable is not designed for such a large dog. Second, this is the whole "close the door" operation that we practice. Depending on where the cable is when the door is closed, the door jamb is either quite content or frustrated by the presence of the cable inside. I know happy places, but others in the house refuse to learn, so sometimes the cable gets abused. That's how things are. I buy new cables maybe three times a year. All is well. But yes, I am completely satisfied with this cable and think the price is right for it.
