Haven't really used it yet as I've just opened the box and was immediately intrigued by the design of the coffee pot itself. The top rim is a plastic piece with a wide rim that is glued on and which already appears difficult to clean at the bottom of the spout. As I ran my fingers under the ring to see if it would pop out, I noticed a gap between the glass and the non-removable ring that could potentially be a breeding ground for mold as it cannot be cleaned (see photo ). . Especially around the spout. The reviews convinced me of this product and I was so excited to get and use it. There seems to be so many great features. Everyone talks about how easy it is to clean the tank, but I don't know how everyone overlooked the impossibility of cleaning the pot. I can only give one star because I never got past unpacking the coffee pot.
