Review on Rugged Merrell Unisex-Child Trail Chaser Hiking Sneaker: Durable Footwear for Adventurous Kids by James Hounds

My son has been wearing these shoes for years because they are the only wide shoes we can find. The quality is usually excellent and his sneakers last 7-8 months. This last couple had a hard tongue. It wasn't soft like usual, my son had bruises and bruises on his legs. We increased the size and brand and had the same issue, a hard tongue on the left side near the seam that hurt the toe of his foot. Not sure what's going on but it's so disappointing because we can't find boys wide leg sneakers anywhere. I tried another color and it was better, not what I wanted or the look I wanted but it's soft and that's what we need. I will email the manufacturer and let them know about the quality change.
