Review on Efficient Connectivity: Linksys N300 Wi-Fi Wireless Router (E900) by Travis Petty

This review is based on both E900 and E1200. We've had the Linksys router for about 10 years now and I've started having speed and page opening issues so it's time to replace it. I bought the E900 from amazon and set it up when it arrived. Setup took longer than it should. He kept trying and he said he couldn't set it up without giving me troubleshooting advice. After playing with it for too long my husband turned to the back of the CD box where there were a few troubleshooting tips saying to disable the antivirus which I did and then it installed without a problem. The router seemed to work fine for a maximum of 2 hours and then froze. All lights were on all the time, no flickering/flashing. After trying all the ways of rebooting, shutting down, whatever we tried and doing a little googling, we found that the device's firmware had failed and it was shutting down. DIED IN TWO HOURS!?!?!?!?! Needless to say I sent it back. I was hesitant to buy another which is basically the same, but chose the E1200 as my target because it was the only reasonable price. After disabling the antivirus again, the installation went smoothly and worked well and correctly for about a day. I was seriously hoping the first one I got was just bad and this one will last much longer but it didn't give much hope for quality so I'll just wait and see.
