Review on Cat Surgery Recovery Suit for Abdominal Wound or Skin Diseases - E-Collar Alternative for Cats and Dogs After Surgery - Pajama Suit for Better Healing by Angel Henderson

Better than an e-collar

The bodysuit was very easy to put on my cat. This allowed her to straighten herself out, especially her face. At night I sat her on my lap, undid the velcro and let her take care of my body without even going near the site of her surgery (castration). Cats lick all the time. Locking up a cat for two weeks seemed so inhumane, so this jumpsuit was the answer to all questions! FYI, I told her to wear the e-collar for 3 days while she took painkillers and slept most of the time - and to keep her range of motion to a minimum, which was critical for the first few days after surgery. During these 3 days, I took off the collar under supervision so that it wouldn't bother me so much (petting, eating, tray, etc.). After 3 days the overall has served its purpose! Suggest bringing two so your cat can carry one while you wash and dry each other! I only had one so my friend washed and dried her suit while she slept on my lap. Washes easily and dries quickly! (Plus there's plenty of room to pee and poop without wearing a suit.) I don't know why vets don't recommend this for all cat spay/neuter surgeries!
