If you use FSSS or Prime they are available at a very reasonable price. M1 filters are consistently ranked among the top filters. They use high quality synthetic filter media which means they are very strong, unlike cheaper paper based filters which have a few large and a few small holes in the media. This allows the dirt to pass through the filter several times before it gets to the right place. With the M1 filter, the media is so homogeneous that particles are captured the first time, every time. Now my only suggestion to Mobil: please add an "exciting" connection to the can. PureONE, more expensive Fram filters and other brands add a rough rubberized coating to their lenses for better grip. Those smooth shiny M1 cans get very slippery when they get a little oil on them. If you're using a filter wrench this isn't a problem, but if you prefer hand tightening this may be enough to make you consider another brand. However, this is a very small thing and I'm not even sure it's worth deducting a full star - it's a 4.5/5 product.
