For some reason tape measure legs come and go in my house. My dad and I have our own tool collection and when something needs to be measured neither of us seem to be able to find a tape measure! I have this one to keep at my Husky work station. I figured the light green color would make it stand out from my old black tape measure and my dad's chrome devices. And it stands out! Anytime I needed a tape measure, I found it easy to use. The automatic brake of this roulette took some getting used to. The only other automatic brake tape measure my dad and I used was an old Black and Decker motorized device that he had been given as a gift years ago and it grew legs and went away too. I like the automatic brake more and more. It's nice to be able to quickly pull out a foot or two of tape and not worry about being whipped by the tape if I invariably forget to install the lock. But the question arises: how durable and reliable are the brakes in this tape measure? I've only had this tape measure for a month and only use it occasionally, so I can't answer that question. The whole block looks good though, so I'm hoping the brake will be just as reliable.
