I have many criteria for my kitchen scissors, but the most important is probably that they can be washed in the dishwasher. For example, if you use scissors to cut chicken, trim flowers, and open hard packaging, you should be able to put them in the dishwasher for cleaning/sanitizing. That's exactly what I'm doing as I received both scissors with no problems. The only thing I would have liked would have been for the scissors to be separable for even more thorough cleaning (hence only 4 stars for ease of cleaning). But for the price they are attractive, handy and versatile. I recommend them.
