Buyers pay attention to sizing info

If you know what you're doing, you might realize that 9 inches refers to the total length of the spatula, blade and handle. The blade itself is 4.5 inches. As a newbie, I was trying to find out if there was a standard for sizing. It seems you should normally expect it to be right in front of the blade, but obviously this isn't guaranteed. This is the icing for the cupcakes. , not the ones you need for smoothing the sides and tops of large cakes. So now I have two of them. The angle on this one is steeper than the other, it's solid and firm with some flex. A spatula alone is fine if you understand what you are buying. And now I can say from experience. I was wondering why you might need a small conical ice cube until someone mentioned mixing colors in glazes. I'm drawing and my favorite little palette knife is small and pointed at the end with a lot of flexibility because it blends so well with so much control. It's also well balanced. So now I've picked up one of the small offset conical icing spatulas and at least know a little bit what I need it for. Better blending work than that rounded end.
