Review on Rovectin Barrier Repair Moisturizing Cream: Astaxanthin & Ceramide Face and Body Cream (5.9 fl oz) by Ronda Allen

Good and mostly inexpensive protective cream for dry skin in winter

Tried several "protective creams" which can be confusing. In this review, I am primarily referring to moisturizers that aim to "fix" your skin barrier by soothing/soothing your irritated skin and strengthening your skin barrier. They can contain a variety of ingredients, but usually contain soothing ingredients and skin-like substances such as ceramides, panthenol, or madecassoside. Therefore, among the ones I've tried, I would say that Zeroid and Rovectin stand out the most in terms of composition. Rovectin eventually wins and becomes my favorite winter cream thanks to two factors: 1) it's a little thicker and feels a little more moisturizing than Zeroid 2) it's cheaper. I used Zeroid 5% urea cream and it was about $18 for 60ml compared to $29 for 175ml of Rovectin. It's still not that cheap, but compared to many other "protective creams", especially patented ceramide complexes such as Aetsura, Mamonde, I would say the price is fair. never really want to dive in. It's a bit like an (aqueous) sunscreen and can feel a bit sticky afterwards (compared to, for example, Ceroid, which melts instantly on your skin). This isn't exactly a unique problem, as some other creams, like Soon Jung 2x Intense Barrier Cream, have had this problem (although it's not as thick as Rovectin). Overall I would definitely recommend this product for dry skin and/or you live in very dry areas.
