I became a fan of protecting my painting projects so I started using urethane to cover just about everything - inside and out. The downside for me though was the oil based urethane which stinks. When I discovered this water based product I decided to give it a try. Pros: 1. It is water based so you can easily clean your brushes.2. It has a very low odor so I don't have to take things outside to cover them.3. It gets a little blurry but becomes clear quickly. Cons: 1. It's quite expensive for only 1/2 pint.2. The lid of the jar has two clasps along the rim. I think this is to prevent it from spilling during transport. However, they are very difficult to tear off and I spilled some liquid trying to get them off. So be careful with that. Although it's more expensive than oil based, I think it's worth it because I can reuse my brushes. So I think it balances things out. I also like its light scent.
