Review on πŸ” Grote 16032 Black 8 1/2" Convex Mirror: Secure Center-Mount Ball-Stud for Enhanced Visibility by Steve Waldbillig

Revainrating 5 out of 5

item ok. A little trick or two is required.

The mirror has a high-quality reflective surface and fairly heavy fittings. The ball joint on my mirror is VERY tight. I sprayed it with WD40 but then I realized that there are three screws that adjust the stiffness of the ball joint and then it was very easy to adjust it exactly as needed. Now I can easily and reliably test my car headlights in my garage. , which is cool. From a technical point of view, the mirror has a minimum angle of inclination for checking car headlights. You need to insert your car backwards at the exact spot (e.g. +/- 6 inches sideways). If that bothers you, or if your car is very wide (like a pickup truck or Hummer), you can spend more and buy a larger mirror.

Pros
  • Stable results during the test
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something happened
