I bought something similar at Wal-Mart, it has a plastic hinge and instead of a thicker metal spool it snapped shut a thin. , and the hinge was the cause of the failure, if positioned correctly, the plastic hinge would slip and the tablet would move. This is a one piece piece up to the stand, metal is much better and more durable. The spring in the stand is good too, I hold my tablet without moving it down until the volume button is pressed by the stand as it slides over it and I'm like "what happened to my volume!" :) Had that should get first.
