Summary: 1) The diameter of the hose was too large, causing the hose to slip off the hard hose at the bottom of my soap pump. 2) The walls of the tube are too thin and the tube is so flexible that two ways of preventing the delivery of soap have collapsed: a. The tube flexed under its own weight and flexed at the top of the soap dish (see fig.). b. The pump suction caused the tube to collapse at the top instead of picking up soap. 3) The strainer at the end of the soap bottle is too limited for thick liquids like my standard pump bottle soap. This product may work for you if your soap/lotion pump has a larger diameter "straw" than mine, you cut the length of tubing so it won't bend or kink under its own weight, and you remove the strainer cap from the remove end of the bottle with soap. Even then, you may need to dilute the soap with water. I threw this product in the trash.
