5 year review, save your money look elsewhere don't skimp on the power supply

I bought this on the 7th July 2015 and now pretty much exactly 5 years later , I post I remember because it was the cause of many problems all along. For the first few weeks I emailed and opened a ticket with Corsair support for excessive coil squeak, at the time I had the 980 and 4790k. Of course, when I overclocked both, it only got worse and it couldn't handle the increase in board or GPU voltage. I noticed it was constantly howling and crackling noises and Corsair support asked me to write down the issue and said it was normal as the coil whine depends on the environment the PSU is running in. I've been living with the problem for 4 years and have been emailing support constantly. Blocked fiasco with him and received no reply. Actually I upgraded my rig to x570 mobo, 2080ti and Ryzen 9 3900x and then it got a bit worse. Of course, I should have known better than to trust it, but the only issues I've had during that time have been squeaks and freezes when overclocking. I started getting random reboots when a 750w PSU should be enough for this setup, the symptoms were consistent with the problems PC manufacturers have with faulty PSUs. I'm under the impression that this PSU isn't rated at the 750W it's supposed to deliver. The rails aren't set up properly, and while they come with 8-pin GPU cables, I don't think they're capable of properly delivering 980 or more power. If it had a 20% performance loss, it wouldn't be able to compete with a modern 2080ti and Ryzen CPU or motherboard. All in all, avoid this PSU like the plague, you really do get what you pay for. I ordered the EVGA 1000W Platinum P2+ power supply and am sure it will be better based on the reviews alone. In summary, here are the main reasons not to buy it and save money on a quality PSU, maybe somewhere else or at a higher level from Corsair: 1. Corsair's support was terrible, they ignored the issue even though they knew it was constantly on gripe. I've treated them with peripherals and my AIO before and they've been perfect. But at the BP there were only questions.2. The PSU is clearly not delivering its rated power. The included 8-pin PCI cable for GPU fanout clearly can't support 980 or 2080ti later. You have to use two separate 8-pin connectors to provide enough power, and even then it struggles. Constant coil noise that gets louder as your rig overclocks or loads. Save your money and potentially save your setup. Look elsewhere for a better power supply.
