Review on Rugged Ridge 11540.61 HD X-Striker for Jeep 🚙 Wrangler JK and JL - Enhance Performance and Protection by Roy Boone

I burned differently than a lot of people who left bad reviews. I went for a bumper with a bumper and paid a lot of money, then it came without a bumper. By the time I ordered it I had figured out the deal. As bad as it was to pay even more money to get all the settings I wanted, I actually gained a lot. I got it as a scratch and dent at a big discount. This may be the same impact bar encountered by the reviewer who complained that it was covered in rust. It was actually covered in rust, which is what I expected. Due to the big discount I decided to just repaint it. As it turned out, this was not necessary. Where rust came from, it didn't come from this product. All rust was immediately wiped off with an oiled rag leaving a nice finish. It bolts directly to my full-size, heavy-duty Ridge HD bumper. It does an excellent job of providing added protection right from the wind and rust. I was a little apprehensive about fastening this with just four bolts, but gave it some thought and found that in the event of contact with anything, the tubes that make contact with the front of the bumper will transfer the load across the entire contact patch . . He must be strong enough. The fact that it's not bulkier also means it hasn't added a lot of extra weight. Also, I think it's just freaking cool and I love it. As for the rust problem, I can't speak about the future, but today I drove down a muddy road in the pouring rain. If it were prone to weird sudden rust somehow crossing the paint, it would certainly rust today. No, everything is fine. I don't think it will be any more prone to rusting than the rest of the bumper.
