I bought two of these Rubbermaid jars because the previous ones were so disgustingly moldy on the lids that I ended up using one good bleach and several spin cycles in the dishwasher. The old jugs were the perfect size too. That's why I wasn't happy to get rid of them. I bought two more to replace the old ones, but the new ones are much thicker than the old ones and take up too much closet space. But the big problem is that they don't fit in my fridge's drinks compartment (the old ones fit perfectly). I had to throw the new ones in the trash without even being able to use them. I will not buy Rubbermaid again. Instead, I buy these things at the dollar store. I've never had a problem with Dollar Store items getting moldy, and they're usually more conveniently sized than the odd shapes and sizes that Rubbermaid has been developing lately.
