I installed it below on my desktop and it worked great! It's worth noting that it comes with drywall screws and anchors for wall mounting. So if you want to mount differently, you'll need to bring your own hardware. I had some simple chipboard screws and it worked great. It feels sturdy and reliable, and after plugging and unplugging my Mac Mini a few times, it doesn't look like the stuff will cause any computer defects. Another tip: before installation, measure the space required for the cables at the back/side. I improvised the placement a bit, leaving barely enough room to unplug and plug in the HDMI and power cables, which tend to stick out a bit further than others.
