These shorts are perfect for me. I'm almost 6'1, 200 lbs. I ordered it in a very large size and it fits my waist perfectly. It's such a struggle to find comfortable mid-rise shorts on the spot. I don't like tight or tight clothes. They extend 2-3 inches in length below my knee and are wide enough for airflow and comfort. They are also relatively thick. I uploaded a picture of them next to a pair and 1 extra large Walmart basketball shorts. . Both shorts are XL. I will order another pair. Let's hope they stand the test of time.
