This keeps everything it promises, even with the protective film on the display. This is definitely a 5 star instrument for the price. The only thing that worries me is the fact that the probe supplied does not reproduce the actual tone generated on the wires, but reads its power and produces a standard tone corresponding to 1-8 / G of the twisted pair (UDP) it collects . It absolutely pierces your ears with no volume control (a nob for sensitivity, a big plus), so using it in quiet environments for cable tracing is tedious and gets you plenty. I fixed it by wrapping duct tape around the speaker, well.
