Review on πŸ›οΈ SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress: King Size with ComfortCoil Technology & Internal High Capacity Pump by Natalie Gregory

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very firm, even at the edges; look for 20 inch sheets

I am very happy with this mattress. There are cheaper airbeds out there, but the SoundAsleep Dream Series offers firm, stable support that is very similar to a traditional mattress. The 18" double bed is raised to almost chair or sofa seat height, making it easier to get in and out of, has internal support and an extra air ring around the top so you can sit on the edge without the mattress collapsing. I inflated the mattress for 2 weeks and the air loss was minimal; The power control for adding more air is a large knob that can be felt/turned without removing the bottom blade. An elderly guest weighing 240 pounds slept on this air mattress and reported a comfortable, good night's sleep. A problem with any air mattress is that it provides a cold surface to lie on. The top of this airbed is flocked, which makes it slightly warmer and helps keep the bottom sheet in place, but it really isn't enough to keep the cold from entering your body while you sleep. I added 1.5" memory foam padding to the top of the air bed and it made it significantly warmer. It would be cheaper to put a thick fleece blanket under the bottom sheet. The mattress has ridges on the sides, presumably to hold the sheets, but the sheets I already had didn't really cling to those ridges. I found 20 inch deep fitted sheets online with a wide elastic band around the bottom edge. They fit perfectly on this mattress, even with the extra height of the foam padding. I bought 2 double air mattresses for guests. M is older as are my friends but this SoundAsleep Dream series airbed is big enough and supportive enough for them to sleep comfortably.
