I bought it for use in a MiSTer project. I doubted the noise level would bother me. I am happy to report that it fits the screw pattern and plugs into the MiSTer I/O board and operates with acceptable noise levels. You can pay more for lower DB rated fans. This one fits, serves its purpose, and that's enough for me not to notice. If you're building a MiSTer setup, you can't go wrong with this little fan. My need was for a specific project, but these fans can be used on anything that accepts a 40mm fan and has a standard 5V fan connector. If you want to buy these, make sure your device uses a 5V fan. There are many devices that can use the 12V fan. 12 volts would have killed that fan in minutes if not instantly. I'm happy with the fans and the low price helped me keep my MiSTer project on budget.
