When I first used these picks, I set them to the brightest setting. I drove about an hour when I got home both lights were off. They are quite small, I thought I might have run out of batteries. At 3:00 this morning the weather in Arizona was unusually good for mid-August. I went for a walk, this time I just turned the fully charged headlights to the minimum. When I got home, both lights went out again. I was gone less than an hour. As I write this review, I found out that my return window expired on August 6th.
