My dog developed a terrible habit of slopping water all over the kitchen floor when he drank. There were constant puddles everywhere. I put his bowl in a boot tray in an attempt to contain the water, but it would fill up. He would drop in food in the collected water, which would disintegrate and make a mess. He would also step in it and track water all over the place. And in spite of all this, I was still stepping in puddles of water. At a complete loss, I googled "My dog slops water everywhere when he drinks," and that is where I found this bowl. With nothing to lose, I get it a try and I was totally amazed. It limited the amount of water available for him to drink, which meant that there was less for him to slop around. He also seems to be drinking less, probably because he is getting more water in his mouth instead of filling up the boot tray with it. And no more puddles of water on the floor (there are still a few random drops, but they dry quickly). I am so glad that I found this bowl!
