Good product for the right application

This is a great and inexpensive N-channel MOSFET breakout board. It's not much more than that. The board includes a pair of MOSFETs connected in parallel, but no load-balancing resistors, flyback diodes, or any input isolation. The input saturates from 3V to 10V, the lower the resistance, the higher the trigger input voltage. With high Vin and low turn-off voltage, the MOSFET may need cooling, e.g. B. by heat sinks glued to DRAM chips. The maximum input voltage of the D4184 MOSFET is 40V and the maximum gate voltage is 20V. However, if you exceed 12V on the gate, the lifespan of the gate LED will be significantly reduced. Each D4184 supports 5A DC without cooling and 40A DC with cooling. They can also handle 150A pulses as long as the diode junction temperature does not exceed 170ยฐC. The maximum theoretical square wave frequency is 7 MHz under ideal conditions. I've tested a few boards up to 200kHz (the maximum frequency of my application) and they work fine. If you plan on using them to drive a large 3.3V or 5V load, I highly recommend using a MOSFET driver IC or just a lower powered MOSFET and driving the gate to 12V . Additionally, given the large number of boards included, if you need a trigger input terminal block, you can simply remove it from another board. I did this.
