My cat is not a kitten but she is quite small, not a big cat in general. This mat is perfect for her box because she can't jump too high so she lands on the mat most of the time! Very little falls on the carpet or in my closet, which is easy to clean. The rug itself is small, but you bought it for such a price, look at the sizes and people's reviews! It's very easy to clean, just shake it over the box or in the bin. Overall it works great for my cat and I and she doesn't really notice which is nice. Great rug (for my situation if yours is similar to mine) at a great price!
