I love this collar and my dog is very comfortable in it. Hardware is heavy. I especially like the LARGE round ring which makes the leash very easy to put on. It appears to be of high quality material and construction and we got a few comments from people when we went over what a good collar this is. The sliding action prevents the dog from slipping out of the collar but does not choke it. This is a limited slip collar. It can shrink as little as an inch or two—enough to be snug but not choke, and it's stuffed thick enough that it can't cut or injure a dog's neck. I also like bright colors, especially when walking in the woods. It slips on and off over the dog's head - there's no buckle or latch. It's so easy to put on - not so easy to take off, especially since I have a broadhead pit bull, but not too difficult. Again, it's so soft that your dog probably won't mind if you have to pull it over your dog's head a little to get it off. There is actually no need to take it off, although you don't want to leave your dog alone in the house, cage or even in the backyard with the ring on as the ring may get caught on something. It still won't choke your dog, but your dog may panic and injure himself if the ring gets caught on something and you aren't there to free him.
