I had a shorter one from another car but it didn't fit my new Jeep Grand Cherokee. So I bought the 22 inch. It is a bit difficult to install the screw on the passenger seat. The bracket is too big to fit in the hole with the plastic plug removed. It is not possible to remove the entire piece of plastic covering the end of the seat track without removing the entire seat. BUT if you loosen a screw and snap it in the front, you can rotate it up and out of the way. It looks a bit odd but no one is looking under the seat. The mount is the perfect length for me and doesn't interfere with the cup holders. It can be a bit inconvenient for passengers if they want to use the cup holder but aren't driving, so they can just live with it hahaha. I've had several of these and they are great. I now have newer versions of both lengths. The new cradle is great. Easy to release and close. The foam is great. The union nut is much easier and quicker to adjust. Generally buy one, gosh, buy one of each length, just in case. You won't be disappointed even if you have one as a backup for another vehicle.
