I use this to connect my iPad to the car stereo to listen to audiobooks while driving. I also use this device to connect Alexa to my home radio within 30 feet for listening to Amazon music and audiobooks. The device uses 2 AA batteries that last a long time without having to be replaced. For a long time I did not change the batteries for months, if I hear I use it a couple of times a week for 2-6 hours. The frequency can be changed simply by pressing a button. Simple enough that I can change it on the go if the transmitter gets in the way, which isn't usually necessary.
