Review on Pourable Plastic Casting Jewelry Figurines by Shantel Griffin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good finish

When they say it's slow healing, they're not kidding. The treatment lasts about 4-5 days. The long curing process allows enough time for air bubbles to rise from the center. The downside is that it's quite thick when pouring, so air bubbles, If you stick to the edge of your form, it won't rise. To fix this you can coat the inside of your mold first or use a vacuum to degas (very clear and glassy afterwards). Additional note: DO NOT expose the cured product to heat as this will cause delamination and become very brittle. At about 180-200°F this resin begins to lose cohesion with itself. Image of two fills, one without degassing and one with degassing. At about 180-200°F this resin begins to lose cohesion with itself. Image of two fills, one without degassing and one with degassing.
