I am using this to add a camera to a Raspberry Pi and get power via POE. The plastic spacer needs to be cut to the right length, which isn't much of a problem. Optically transparent plastic is not entirely smooth. Viewed in reflection, the surface appears to have an "orange peel" characteristic of an injection mold that is not very well polished. The resulting defects lead to some optical artifacts visible in bright light photographs. I can cut off part of the box above the camera and put in an optically clear window to avoid the problem. Had I known, I would have bought an opaque box and installed the window myself. I appreciate the attachment feature on the outside of the box. Subtract a star for the "textured" clear plastic.
