Review on The Quick Split: Portable Pizza πŸ• Cutter with On-The-Go Cover for Bite-Size Slices by Isaac Ismail

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Wanted some issues first please

UPDATE: Ultimately customer service makes up for my issues so I'm increasing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I received a brand new cutter, undamaged, with no additional charges or problems. It didn't have a wobbly wheel or a broken plastic cover. Seems to work great! Hopefully this lasts long - I'll update when I find out. Below is my initial review: I loved this mom-run business - I love the practical products that real entrepreneurs create. And I needed a pizza wheel and thought this little wheel would be perfect for small portions (small wheel cutters are hard to come by). Unfortunately, there are a few issues and I had a hard time deciding what an honest review would be. 1) The plastic case arrived badly cracked and broken, although well packaged, suggesting the damage occurred before delivery. 2) The wheel itself seems useful, although I'm not sure if it fully survived the hull impact yet - it seems to wobble a bit. But more importantly, it doesn't seem easy to fix or tighten as the screw/bracket is non-standard. I know #1 was probably a weird accident. Since I don't bother with the extra task of sending it back for a replacement, I'll probably keep the wheel and drop the case. This is my decision and I am responsible for it. However, this is a compromise that makes me feel the item was overpriced. The issue of durability is perhaps more important. If I pay more for a product than intended, it's not because of frills, but because it's meant to be durable, easy to maintain, or both. Whilst I think innovation is important in a product, its usability over time is more important as I am by no means a blob of finesse or picky with my overflowing bag! If it were a cheap item I wouldn't expect the same durability or maintainability and would treat it almost the same as most "disposable kitchen utensils". So basically for me there is a gap between price and quality/durability. All of which means that if the bike lasts longer than the signs suggest, I'll try to remember to update this review.
