Review on 🚐 Hughes Autoformers RV 2130-SP: 30 Amp Voltage Booster with Surge Protection - Enhance RV Power Efficiency & Safety by Troy Rotermund

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as advertised, looks well put together, just needs a little tweaking to be perfect.

I bought this to fix problems I was having at a seasonal site where the voltage could drop to 94V. We have a small caravan so my average power consumption with the fridge and air conditioning is around 9 was -10 amps. (Obviously a toaster oven or microwave will cause large spatters.) I replaced the AC unit with a more efficient unit and now with Autoformer my park draw is around 7-8 amps, even with voltage adjustments. Despite its 10% rating, it's like a sliding scale. If it only needs to boost 7 volts, that's all it does. When I get very low voltage on the poles it seems to be over 10%, I've seen around 13% this weekend and never went below 111v in the trailer. In order to get the final star for the price, they need to integrate the same Bluetooth capabilities they sell in Surge's specialty devices. As I wanted to keep an eye on the park I had to buy one separately and now have two combo surge protectors which is a bit of a pole mess, unnecessary and just adds to my cost. Just pay another $50 for it and turn on bluetooth on this device.

Pros

Cons
