I placed them around a small covered seating area on our patio where we spend a lot of time on warm weather evenings. They are very sweet. But I don't think you can see them very well when they're lit in the dark. I like the programmable feature that allows you to change the action of the lights. There's a kind of random setting that we really like and use most of the time. The fairy lights turned out longer than I expected, which made me happy. I keep the charging pad near the edge of the house where it's protected from the rain but still exposed to the sun, and that seems like a good spot for it. It burns for quite a long time. I am happy with my purchase.
