We use these fairy lights for a small living Christmas tree and the lights were left on 24/7 for almost a month before they started to fade. The packs used the same batteries as my Christmas wreaths, the batteries had to be changed weekly. I'm not joking. The bees are very cute and detailed!

I thought they were small, light and unobtrusive to give the impression of real bees. Not so, they are large, golden yellow, stocky and most noticeable. So I wasn't planning on putting them on the bush the way I intended as they would look obvious and ridiculous. I wanted to ship them back but I had far more serious issues than a hassle trip to the UPS location to ship them back. Definitely not a gift. I can't comment on durability as I haven't used it and won't use it.

I am a honey bee lover. I love her. These lights are adorable. The bees are bigger than I thought so I better place them further away. I can still see them and know they are bees, but they don't crawl in my face and scare me like crazy giant bees on steroids. The light itself is soft but bright. I just wish they were mains powered, not battery operated. The battery pack isn't usually within reach to turn it on and off or change the batteries since I keep them high and at a distance.

I placed them around a small covered seating area on our patio where we spend a lot of time on warm weather evenings. They are very sweet. But I don't think you can see them very well when they're lit in the dark. I like the programmable feature that allows you to change the action of the lights. This item is disappointing. The fairy lights were worse; Of course, I couldn't even open the plastic box that was supposed to contain the batteries needed to run the light! I suspect someone else ordered them and sent them back since the package was opened. I removed the battery case through the same hole but I couldn't put the batteries in.
