I replaced my engine while the engine was not running and I was waiting for some details. I removed the 18 year old heat shield. cleaned up the area. Self-adhesive is not easy to work with, but sticks well to very clean surfaces. Removing the protective material will make you question your life choices. I haven't done any formal testing, but I can tell the difference: my legs don't boil anymore and it reflects a lot of heat. You can really tell where I ran out of material. One day when I have the transmission I will do the whole tunnel. A good thing, yes it is difficult to work with, but the results are noticeable.
