The old adage "you get what you pay for” still applies. These rivets work, but they're cheap and pretty flimsy. I make custom leather dog collars and I usually buy rivets from the Springfield Leather Company but I had trouble finding them and the price was tempting so I bought them. It was a waste of money. I've actually made a few collars with these rivets, but I had some unexploded materials and had to crush them really hard to make sure they didn't snap on my client. After a zip tie or two I gave up and used a few other rivets that were in my box and ordered another pack from SLC. If you're looking for a simple rivet that isn't that difficult to install (although I've survived or will break if I push it in) and doesn't put significant stress on the rivet, this might be the one for you. They make good decorations, but I don't trust them with a leather collar buckle that a large dog is tugging at.
