If I were really wearing this for warmth and not just once with an outfit, I would reach for another item in my closet. The fur itches and scratches because it's on the neck where the skin is sensitive. However, it looks exactly like the picture, including the weave of the fabric. If I could find a way to soften this item I would probably use it outside of the scene I bought it for.
