The best I could fit in a corner was a 43 inch TV! This TV mount does not fit a 50-55 inch angle!
I bought this because I can fit a 55 inch TV in the corner. After installing the bracket on the two pins closest to the corner (each about 11 inches from the corner), the width of the TV, this bracket can hold 40 inches in this configuration, which is actually a 43-inch TV is. corner) and I still couldn't hang a 50" or 55" TV). I don't see a way to accommodate the claimed 55 inch TV. Each arm is approximately 13 inches long and the two arms connect to the TV mounting plate approximately 2 inches apart.
