Review on Powerful Grundfos 98562818 SCALA2 Pressure Boosting Pump: 1x115V 60Hz AVCBDF by Pete Door

EDIT 2/12/21: The following review was written when I first got the pump. A little over two years later, the pump stopped working with the same symptoms seen in many of the reviews here: crankshaft grinding and rusty water leaking. I've emailed the company to see if they're willing to do something about it. As far as I know this pump was part of a recall and the recall was only communicated to dealers and not actual buyers. quite dubious and oddly out of character for what I've known about Grundfos in the past. As for the PUMP, when it works, it works very well. However, the secrecy of the recall notice and according to the recall instructions "not to help customers when the warranty has expired" is highly suspect and should be reported to Grundfos. I contacted the company to see if they would at least help with a replacement loan. I'll update here if/when I get an answer. This is by far the best thing I've bought for my home in the last two years. We installed it (on our city water supply, it's not just for wells) and the flow rate went from 2.2 gpm to 7 gpm and is consistent throughout the house. He worked for me and when I stood next to him I didn't hear from him. My engineer buddy who suggested it will get a nice Christmas present this year.
