Review on ☕️ Bodum Caffettiera French Press Coffee Maker: Black Plastic Lid, Stainless Steel Frame, 3-Cup Capacity [12-Ounce] by Kristin Barry

I have to say I was a little disappointed with Bodum French Press. I don't think this new model is any better than my old abs. On the plus side it has a thicker glass carafe which will hopefully prevent it from easily breaking in the future. However, the glass carafe itself isn't very strong and tends to slip a bit - and yes I tried tightening the screws - but I did find myself washing it gently to make sure the glass didn't slip or rotate . The mesh piston doesn't go down far enough - it leaves about 3/4 inch of clearance at the bottom. It may not seem like a problem, but it does hold extra liquid with the base and so you lose that precious amount of coffee! Ha. Yes you can hold the press in the dispensing position and it will slowly pour the liquid out but it's not worth it, one side has a filling slot so you need to make sure it's facing the spout---no big deal but awkward-- -- why not cut the entire lid so it's not a problem at all, personally next time I'll look for another brand that eliminates my minor annoyances.
