On paper it really looked like a good idea. I was happy to order it. I walk many kilometers every day with my pedometer smartwatch. Sometimes, on bad weather days, I keep walking around my house. To ward off boredom, I will read a book on my smartphone. If I hold my smartphone in my hand for too long to read, my neck and back muscles tense up and hurt a lot. Using this device seems to alleviate those issues, but when you walk, this device bounces around and you can't see or read the phone. That's why I'm holding it in my hand. Holding the device in your hand still causes strain and pain in your back, but to a lesser extent than just holding the phone in your hand. So you are the judge. I still use this restraint because it helps, but it's not a perfect solution.
