So much fun for the money (on a $110 purchase)

If you are looking at this product then you should not be interested in the best RC car. If you want the best machine, choose one of the $300-$500 products. However, THIS product is an incredible value and you won't feel bad letting your child play with it. This review was written after about an eight hour drive, which I think is enough time to review a $110 product (I got it when it was $110). Good things: First of all, the battery life. EVERY battery has lasted me at least 30 minutes so far. If you're on rough terrain and constantly accelerating it's 20 minutes, but on flat ground and what I consider normal driving I've had 40-minute gaming sessions on a single battery. I didn't even manage to completely discharge both batteries because after more than 60 minutes it's time to go home. However, the charging time is 3-4 hours, i.e. once or twice a day. The overall design is great for the price. They took care to make the places where the gears are dustproof. It drove through grass, leaves and mud and so far no signs of gear fouling. Also, it's crashed more times than I can count and been thrown off walls and such, and so far nothing has broken. The speed and acceleration is incredible for what it is. I haven't measured the top speed, so I don't know if "60 km/h" is accurate, but it should be close, and I repeat: if absolute top speed is that important to you, don't look more on $120 cars. BAD things: Shocks are a joke. They *were* filled with oil, but all of the oil drained out after a few minutes of use. So shock absorbers are just springs. Of course, it's still important that nothing breaks when driving over bumps, but they don't dampen anymore. Throttle sensitivity reduction 1) renders reverse inoperable and 2) still moves too fast at top speed for younger children. It would be nice to have a setting where 6-8 year olds could use it without it immediately flying away and breaking. The cotter pins holding the case fall out fairly easily. There are spare parts in the kit, but I've already run out. I simply fed the wire through the pins. OVERVIEW: This is the best $120 I've spent in a long time. It's so much fun to run around the park and all the kids love to either drive the car themselves or chase it.
