Review on ๐Ÿท๏ธ Efficient Labeling with the Brother PT-2600 Labeling System by Jeremy Stephens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the best with one small caveat

If you are reading this you are looking for a good labeling system. If you want a "standalone" product (that can even be plugged into your computer), this is the best of both worlds. I mostly use the Brother PT-2600 as a standalone device. The few times I've used it with my Mac G4, it offered many options, most of which I don't need, so I prefer to use it without a computer (although the USB port stays plugged in). I've been using mine for almost a year with no problems and no battery rectifier. It still uses the original batteries (requires 8 AA batteries). Now we come to the "Disclaimerโ€. I had to use gold and silver foil labels with black ink. Brother does NOT manufacture this product. They do gold ink on a BLACK background (which looks worse than awful). That's why I bought the DYMO LabelManager-150. It's smaller than Brother's PT series, only uses 5 AA batteries, and still runs on the same battery I bought a year ago (about a month after I bought Brother's PT-2600). Rating the DYMO Label Maker I only gave it four stars because it doesn't have an automatic "cutter" that cuts the label after it's printed. However, the Brother machine does everything for you, including cutting the label so it just falls on the table or in your hand (that's no doubt why the BROTHER needs 8 batteries and the DYMO only 5). Bottom line: if you're not a perfectionist like me --- I just needed this beautiful "gold" background to look for labels for a specific current project --- to buy as a Brother. It has all formats, even addressable postal labels (DYMO does NOT have this feature). For myself --- I had to have both. I hope this review has given you some additional insight into this product!
