Bought for my 2002 Avalanche 5.2 Vortec. Fits like a glove. I saw where the holes at the bottom of the air intake didn't really line up. Just match as many holes as you can and mark the rest for finishing. 2 holes in my airbox needed to be filed. I literally filed the holes and installed the airbox in 5 minutes. The entire installation took about 30 minutes. (I'm a technician at Honda). The hardest part was attaching the MAFS to the air cleaner adapter with hex head screws. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. Air filter cone is BIG! There is no friction problem at the fan shroud - about 1/2 inch of space. I immediately noticed a difference in the tone of my exhaust. It's much deeper. (Cherry bomb, extreme for 5 inch tips) There is a pleasant hiss from the intake when cruising. If you hit it. sounds heavenly! - I will say that at around 2500-3000 rpm depending on what gear range you are in there is a LOT of noise in the cockpit. It doesn't bother me, but I know it will be unbearable for most. Noticed more highway 60-75 mph again - overall happy with purchase. Noticed better acceleration - deeper exhaust note - loud intake noise. Can't comment on the MPG - just turned the feed on last night but checked back in badly.
