My 2000 Miata has lag when accelerating. I thought that might be the problem but it turned out to be a bad connection in the rubber hose just after the fuel pump in the fuel tank. But that's another story from everything I tried before solving this small issue. lol. This cam angle sensor is incredibly easy to install. It sits right on the front top of the engine and takes about 5 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. As I said, it wasn't a problem, but I kept the new one anyway (it works perfectly) as my car has done 120,000 miles.
