I was very pleased with this laptop/ipad stand. Looks and feels better in real life than in the photo. It is very well designed and built. The metal insert is perfect. The metal insert works very well for ventilation and heat dissipation. There is a well-placed cable hole on the back of the stand. The wood pulp is excellent, but closer inspection reveals that it is not entirely machine made; There are a few slick marks to show the human touch, which I'm more than happy with (I worked in a furniture factory for several years at the very beginning). The overall feel is warm and Zen-like simplicity. I had enough solid metal computer furniture to want more and less at the same time. If only I could find a matching bamboo mouse now!
