As you can see from the pictures I don't have a dog anymore I have a water dragon and it's pretty cool. Jokes aside, I got this a size XL for my 6/7 month old GSD pup and it fits well. I haven't had a chance to test its buoyancy, but haven't seen anything that suggests it won't work. The chin pad is removable, by the way, which is nice. I was able to request and receive this dog life jacket from Revain Vine for free and would have no problem spending my money on it if I needed to get another one. .
