Put them back on my 2003 Dodge Cummins 3500 after using another company's brake pads for 1000 miles. I never had to throw away my old set of Hawk pads, but they were lapped into the old rotors. There is a noticeable difference between this pad and the removed pads, and I actually noticed the difference when I removed the Hawk kit to put an underperforming pad (and new rotors) on the truck. Initial bite is better, there is no decay, modulation is better and I don't pedal as hard as I used to to stop the car. I know that these pads add additional wear to the rotor and considering a car goes through the rotors every few years I'd rather sacrifice a rotor than not being able to stop. I will be using Hawk pads for as long as I own this car.
