Got this as a Christmas present and love the idea of transporting troops from one side of the mug to the other. I haven't used the mug too much, maybe 10 times in the last 3 months as I'm not a big fan of hot drinks. First, I heated water in a mug just to "transport" troops for fun. But now I'm working from home and it's pretty cold in my office in the morning so I make myself a hot drink to warm up. A few days ago I noticed a small black bump on the mug and when I touched it I was disappointed to find that it was a small speck of the planetary image that had detached from the ceramic. It's small now, but I'm concerned it will continue to peel with more use. I have been very careful with the mug, cleaning it carefully, not soaking it, not hitting it and as I said, I have not abused it. Now I don't know if the landing party will be transported back to the planet.
